When working on a machine you can prevent damage to the finish if you put a drinking straw on the shaft of a screwdriver. If it comes in contact with the paint it is less likely to mar or chip the paint.

01       PROTECT THE PAINT

Use only Sewing Machine Oil to lubricate your machine regularly. Some oils like 3 n 1 Oil will harden and cause your machine to seize up. A light coat of Sewing Machine Oil is also good for a machines painted finish and prevents rust.

02       OIL

A wooden toothpick is a good tool for cleaning tight corners and things like Bobbin Races and slots of screws. It will not scratch finishes and are not expensive.

03       TOOTHPICKS

When you are unscrewing a screw, place the screwdriver tip in the center of the slot to prevent  stripping the screw head.
